Just before Coach Jennifer was introduced to FYF4Good in April 2015, she had decided to try, one more time, to lose her excess fat. Over 100 pounds had crept on so slowly that she didn’t fully understand the problem. Having been in denial for years, she was shocked when she finally realized the terrible shape that she was in. At size 24, she saw a size 16 woman in the mirror. Her brain was tricking her into believing the issue wasn’t really that bad.
Jennifer knew some of the participants in the two test groups and was impressed with their success, so she decided to give this lifestyle a try. Focusing on learning the basics of the 8 pillars, she forgot about the foods that she was “missing”. The next 10 months brought rapid change as she lost an average of 10 pounds a month consistently during that time, for an amazing 94 pounds lost. Over 120 inches of fat was gone, and so were many aches and pains. Suddenly she felt like a whole new person in a new, younger body!
Along the way, she realized there were some negative thought processes brought on by hurtful things that had happened to her. She knew she needed to face these hurts from her past and put them behind her to be finally free from her excess fat. Knowing that other Buddies would also need to move past their hurts, she approached Dr. Vicky and Jackie to ask for a community forum for Buddies with 100 or more pounds of excess fat. Her vision was for a safe place to deal with and overcome these issues, 4GOOD! On November 17th, 2015, the Power100 Heroes met for the first time via a private conference call, and thus put into motion a powerful movement to fight Globesity. In May of 2019, Jennifer was recognized as a Healthy Living Hero by Sprouts Farmers Market after she submitted her FYF4Good transformation story. She mostly ate foods purchased at Sprouts during her 10-month rapid fat-loss. Every month, Sprouts selects one national Healthy Living Hero as an example to encourage others on their wellness journeys.
Coach Jennifer has a passion to help Buddies learn this lifestyle to release them from the bondage of excess fat, which has become a pandemic world-wide problem. She advises new Buddies to focus on carefully learning and implementing ALL 8 pillars that make this lifestyle unique. “Don’t pick and choose which pillars to apply. Do them ALL and do them RIGHT! If you have questions, ASK. You can do this! You CAN feel better, healthier, and younger.” She also encourages everyone to have at least 2 or 3 Buddies to keep them accountable and on-track. She has several stories from her own experience of her Buddies keeping her from stumbling as she was tempted to eat the wrong things from time to time. “Don’t walk this road alone. You need your Buddies.”
